Engineer to be deported for lewd act

Dubai: A mechanical engineer will be deported after a police patrol caught him committing a lewd act in public and touching his private parts at the beach, ruled a court.

The Dubai Court of Misdemeanours found the 24-year-old Jordanian engineer, identified as M.S., guilty of committing a lewd act and indecently gesturing in public, as charged by the Public Prosecution.

The accused denied his charge and said: "I didn't commit any lewd act ... I went to lay down and accidentally my private parts were showing from the swimsuit. So I just used my hand to cover up the scene."
