Car-wash worker hurt in ‘freak accident’

Sharjah: A worker was seriously injured in a freak accident on Saturday after the car he was washing fell on him, an official at Sharjah Police told Gulf News. The 40-year-old worker from Nigeria was identified as J.O.T.

The incident occurred just after 4.30pm at a car wash station in Sharjah Industrial area No 13.

The worker sustained fractures in different parts of the body, according to Al Qasimi Hospital.

The worker was raising the car to clean it when it suddenly fell on him.

It is believed that a metal bar broke and the car fell on the worker.
