Body recovered from RAK beach

Ras Al Khaimah: Visitors at Ras Al Khaimah beach made the grisly discovery of a body floating in the sea while they were enjoying the sun and sand on Wednesday evening.

A RAK Police official said that the body was found in waters off the Ghaleila area.

Authorities recovered the body and transferred it to a forensic laboratory for autopsy.

Police are investigating whether foul play was involved, or whether evidence points to death by drowning.

Initial reports reveal that the body was that of an Asian man estimated to be in his thirties.
