Dubai Courts signs MoU with MBR Foundation to promote Arabic language through social networks

Dubai: Dubai Courts Department (DCD) launched a series of educational and entertaining activities and events in line with #Arabic initiative as part of the ‘Arabic Language Day’ celebrations.

One of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MBR) Foundation’s key programs to promote the Arabic language through social and digital networks, #Arabic initiative’s events will continue to take place at DCD until Thursday.

On the sidelines of events under the #Arabic initiative, a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between DCD and MBR Foundation to promote joint collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and experience, said a media statement on Monday.

The MoU aims to achieve the highest standards within the institutional sectors and research fields to achieve excellence and promote joint efforts towards human resources development and citizenship.

Taresh Eid Al Mansouri, DCD’s General Manager, and Jamal Bin Huwaireb, a Representative Member of the MBR Foundation, inked the MoU on Monday.

Al Mansouri confirmed the importance of the #Arabic initiative as a qualitative step towards promoting the use of the Arabic language, which is an essential pillar of national identity and which has been preserved and consolidated by the country’s wise leadership as a part of authentic Arab heritage for current and future generations.

“DCD’s participation is not only limited to the activities of the #Arabic initiative to actively promote in spreading the Classical Arabic language and related literature to encourage its correct usage through social media, but also to reinforce our commitment to support all initiatives and national activities with an aim to establish a sense of belonging and responsibility within society,” said Al Mansouri.

“The Arab Language Day was an ideal occasion to celebrate the language and be proud of the great history, cultural diversity, and uniqueness of the Arab region. The #Arabic initiative aims to encourage Arab societies to use their mother language in electronic media and enrich Arabic content on the internet and various social network platforms along with social and institutional websites,” said Huwaireb.
