Crane sinks in Ras Al Khaimah waters

Ras Al Khaimah:  A crane sank off Al Jazera Al Hamra area in Ras Al Khaimah.

Four cranes were at work when high tide covered them all. Three were saved, while the other went deeper into the sea.

Hotels and resorts urged the construction company to pull out the crane.

Tourists spending the Christmas and the new year vacation in nearby hotels and resorts expressed their dissatisfaction over the incident saying that when the crane sank, its engine and diesel container were all covered with water, sending out a nasty smell.
