Couple hurt as car flips over into Fujairah valley

Fujairah: A 32-year-old man and his 28-year-old wife were hurt in a car accident on Tuesday evening.

The accident occurred on Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road.

A Civil Defence team rushed to the site of the accident after receiving the emergency call.

According to a source in Fujairah Civil Defence, the man suddenly lost control of the steering wheel while driving.

The car veered out of its lane and fell from Shaikh Khalifa Road into a valley. As a result, the car caught fire and was completely burnt, leaving the couple with serious injuries.

A police source confirmed that the car flipped over and fell into a valley and caught fire.

The couple has been transferred to Al Dhaid Hospital in Sharjah where they received treatment.

An official at Al Dhaid Hospital told Gulf News that the Asian couple suffered serious injuries and fractures in different parts of their bodies.

Fujairah Police are investigating the incident.
