Clipsal Goa clinched the first seven-a-side all-India football tournament, organised by Gulf International Promotions and co-sponsored by Mando Restaurant.
A total of sixteen teams took part in this tournament. In the final Clipsal Goa defeated Vanxim Divar 3-1 on penalties after the game ended goalless despite extra time.
The teams were divided into four pools with four teams in each pool. In group A UAE exchange team from Abu Dhabi topped the pool after holding Al Quatal Marketing to a 0-0 draw and defeating Jebel Ali Hotel and Golf Resort 5-0. Al Quatal took the second spot in the pool defeating Jebel Ali Hotel 3-O.
In pool B Panjim Footballers topped the pool defeating Siolim FC 3-1, Zyco Dubai 2-0 and Talents Abu Dhabi 1-0. Siolim took the second spot in the pool on a better goal average from Zyco Dubai. Siolim defeated Talents Abu Dhabi 4-0, and lost to Zyco Dubai 0-3.
In Group C, Spinneys Abu Dhabi won their group defeating Salcette 3-0 and Royalers Bombay 2-0 while they were held to a scoreless draw by Divar Vanxim Divar, who occupied the second spot defeating Royalers Bombay 1-0, Salcette 2-1 and drawing with Spinneys.
In the final group Clipsal Goa topped their group defeating Bombay Goans 1-0, Al Shaab Dubai 2-0 before being held to a scoreless draw by Dubal Goans. Second spot was occupied by Dubal, who got the better of Al Shaab 2-0, and Bombay Goans 1-0 while they drew with Clipsal Goa.
In the quarterfinals, Divar overcame UAE Exchange 2-1, Spinneys Abu Dhabi lost narrowly to Al Quatal 1-0, Dubal Goans edged out Panjim Footballers 3-2, Clipsal Goa blanked Siolim 2-O.
In the semifinals Divar quelled a stiff challenge from Dubal Goans 2-1, while Clipsal pipped Al Quatal in penalty shootout.
