Children with special needs to participate in horse race
Abu Dhabi: The first endurance horse race for children with special needs will be held tomorrow at the Emirates Global Village Course in Al Wathba.
The race, under the patronage of Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, is being organised by Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care, Special Needs and Minors Affairs, in cooperation with Bani Yas Centre for Endurance.
Thirteen boys and girls will participate in the 5km race, which will start at 3pm. A special outfit has been designed for participants to protect them if they fall from the horse. The safety jacket has been made in Japan and it turns to an air bag on impact.
