Abu Dhabi: Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, said the federation state serves as a fort to ensure stability and security in the Gulf region and a source of power for its Arab brothers.
"In its quest to be a role model in international relation management on moral and humanitarian grounds, the UAE is keen to enhance its relations with countries all over the world on the basis of mutual respect, understanding, dialogue, and good...[neighbourliness]," Lieutenant General Al Rumaithi said.
"The UAE has always condemned all forms of violence and terrorism and reiterated its commitment to international agreements and support to peace calls.
"It succeeded in entering the 21st century as a strong country occupying a leading position on the global stage," Lieutenant General Al Rumaithi said, attributing this success to the understanding of the UAE leadership to the status of the world order and the qualities of the UAE.
