Sharjah A 17-year-old boy was injured after a driver crashed his car through a hairdressing salon’s window in Al Khan, Sharjah, according to a report by the Arabic Daily Emarat Al Youm.

The boy has been admitted to the hospital and was given the necessary aid. He will remain in the hospital until doctors ensure that his condition is fully stable.

Just moving his car

The motorist, who lives on the third floor of the building in which the salon is located, said that he was moving his car to avoid damages that it might suffer from construction works at the nearby building.

He said that he accidentally pressed the gas pedal when he was parking next to the salon, resulting in him crashing through the front window and injuring the 17-year-old boy, who is the son of the salon’s owner. Some equipment was also damaged.

The salon’s owner, Othman Al Maliki, told the Arabic daily that the accident occurred a few minutes after the last customer had left.

“I was sitting in the store with my son and a couple of my friends, when suddenly the car came crashing through the glass hitting my son, Othman, and damaging furniture, equipment and the entire window. My son was transported to the Kuwaiti hospital in Sharjah for treatment by the police ambulance,” said Othman.

Othman said that he opened the salon only six months ago.
