Body recovered from Khorfakkan beach

Khorfakkan: Visitors of Al Lo’lo’yah beach made the grisly find of a dead body floating at sea on Wednesday, Sharjah Police confirmed.

It was not immediately clear whether the victim was male or female.

Witnesses reported the incident to the Coast Guard and  the Sharjah Police, who retrieved the body and transferred it to the forensics laboratory for autopsy.

Police have launched an investigation to find out whether the victim drowned or was murdered.

Sharjah Police also reiterated a warning to the public to heed the warning on sign boards regarding approaching dangerous beach areas.
