Al Wahda were far from hospitable to their visitors Al Dhaid beating them 5-1 in a one-sided President's Cup encounter that could have ended in a bigger victory for the home team had they not squandered easy scoring chances.

Al Wahda went 3-0 within the first 13 minutes taking full command of the game but they soon changed their attitude and started to show their individual talents with each and everyone of the team trying to score a goal from difficult and sometimes impossible angles and situations.

Ismail Matar scored a beautiful goal, five minutes into the match, off a pass from Mohammed Ali Omar, swinging his body half circle before shooting first time with his left foot into the top corner of the net.

Yasir Salim added the second, seven minutes later when Hayder Ållo Ali went past three defenders on the left flank before crossing to Yasir inside the box to place it home.

Less than 60 seconds later Al Wahda went further into the lead as Fahad Massoud crossed from the right flank to his skipper Abdul Salam Jumaa who sent a fierce shot from outside the box into the far corner of the goal.

Al Wahda, having scored thrice, left the attacking initiations to their guests who went forward and earned a corner, 22 minutes into the match in their first ever attacking move in the game.

Hussaim Ghanim crossed from the flag and the defenders cleared only for Khalifa Salim, the best player among the visitors, to send a rocket of a shot that left custodian Hussain Ali with no hope at all.

Ali had not touched a single ball till that goal. His first touch was retrieving the ball from the bottom of his net.

Al Wahda launched a number of attacks but selfishness deprived the team from more goals in the first half while referee Waleed Ali awarded Al Dhaid a controversial penalty that Hussain Ali blocked successfully leaving Jasim Mohammed watching in dismay as his spot kick was brilliantly saved, 3 minutes before the interval.

Ismail Matar started the second half in style adding his personal second and his team's fourth goal contacing to Yasir's cross from the left only four minutes after the breather. Eleven minutes later, Fahad Massoud scored one of his trade mark goals following another tremendous shot from Omar's pass.

Matar should have added another goal, two minutes before time when he went past three defenders and the goalkeeper before shooting high into the night sky.

Al Wahda lead the second group with ten points from four matches scoring 15 goals and conceding only two.
