Al Nasr senior football team drew 1-1 with the Tunisian Club Sportive Star du Sahel, in their second warm-up match during their training camp in France.
The match was held at the Olympic Hall Stadium in Albertvil city near the French-Swiss border. The Tunisian club, like Al Nasr, is participating in a two-week training camp in France, in preparation for the new season.
Samba N'diaye of Senegal scored for Al Nasr in the second session after Sportive Star led 1-0 in the first. Al Nasr's external training camp began in Saint Etienne, on August 5, under their new French coach Rene Exbrayat.
They trained twice daily, with emphasis on fitness in the afternoon. The team will return to Dubai on August 26 after playing two more warm-up matches against the French clubs.
Al Nasr also drew 1-1 in their first warm-up match against a French side. Al Nasr's professional striker Hisham Zarwali of Morocco scored the only goal for his side.
Meanwhile, Al Nasr cycling team left for Slovenia for a three-week training camp. Juma Jafar, Supervisor of the cycling team and Head of the delegation with Khalil Haddad, the coach; Abdul Qader Rahmani, assistant coach, and 20 cyclists, will take part in some races which will be held in Slovenia during the period.
The club's table tennis team also left for Hungary for a 16-day training camp in preparation for the new season.
The team included Daood Al Hajry, Head of the delegation along with Shanki, the coach; Leown, assistant coach and seven players.
