Air Wing rescues man bitten by snake in RAK mountains

Police urged all visitors to take all precautionary measures for their safety

Ras Al Khaimah:  An Asian man has been rescued by Ras Al Khaimah Police Air Wing after he was bitten by a snake while he was in  the Ras Al Khaimah mountains on Wednesday, Colonel Saeed Rashid Al Yamahi, Head of the Air Wing Section at RAK Police, said.

Police operation room received call on Wednesday about 5pm  saying that An Asian man in his 30’s has been bitten by snake and needed for help.

"Police send  helicopter to  the site along rescue team,” Col. Al Yamahi said. The rescue team search for the man and  managed to reach thim and provided him with first aid then airlifted him to hospital to receive  necessary treatment.
Col. Al Yamahi urged all visitors, tourists  as well as residents to be more cautious at these areas[ mountainous area and desert ] and take all precautionary measures for their safety.

Col. Al Yamahi confirming that the department is ready to provide help around the clock.
