Dubai: After announcing the extension of Season 29 for one more week, Global Village, one of the most popular destinations in the UAE, has announced fireworks and promotional offers that guests can enjoy in the run up to its grand finale for the season.

It was at 9pm on Sunday night, just hours before its original closing time for the season that Global Village announced that the family destination for entertainment, dining and shopping in Dubai would remain open till May 18.

On Monday morning the multicultural destination revealed more details of what guests can enjoy through the extended week, including promotional offers and three nights of its popular fireworks.

“Guests are invited to enjoy their final opportunity to visit the park and indulge in end-of-season shopping, savour favourite treats from over 250 dining options, catch the latest shows on the Main Stage and Kids’ Theatre, and make the most of the rides and games at Carnaval, Exo Planet City, and Neon Galaxy – Challenge Zone,” Global Village stated.

Offers confirmed

It also confirmed that the recently announced offers will continue to be available until the season's closure. These include the ‘Kids Go Free’ offer, allowing children under 12 to enter the park free of charge, as well as the ‘Carnaval offer’, providing a selection of unlimited rides in the Carnaval area for just Dh50, and the ‘Golden Bar Challenge’, where participants have the chance to win Dh2,900 in cash by lifting a golden bar from a box — part of a total prize pool of Dh87,000.

Besides these offers, Global Village has called on guests to continue the ultimate shopping journey by seizing unmissable deals, mega discounts and exclusive bargains, available for just seven more days across more than 3,500 shopping outlets. “From handcrafted products and traditional cultural items to modern trends and fashion, there is something to discover for every taste,” it said.

Before season ends, 250 diverse dining options are still available to explore, some of which are only available at Global Village. These include a number of savoury delicacies and sweet treats, made of mouth-watering flavours and with a unique presentation. “As the premier destination is renowned for its trendy options, this is the ideal chance to not miss out on the hype.”

“With over 200 rides and games at Carnaval, and even more thrilling adventures waiting to be discovered at the Exo Planet City and Neon Galaxy – X Challenge Zone, adults and kids are encouraged to take their last chance to explore the plethora of attractions available at the family-favourite destination.”

It confirmed that the beautiful live performances that can only be caught at Global Village for a while longer will also be on display at the Main Stage and the Kids’ Theatre, featuring eye-catching dances as well as cultural music, set to keep guests mesmerised during the final nights of the season.

Fireworks, opening hours

Additionally, fireworks display will light up the skies above the destination to celebrate the grand finale next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

During the extended week, Global Village will remain open from 4pm to 1am daily.

Global Village usually opens from 4pm to 12am from Sunday to Wednesday and from 4pm to 1am from Thursday to Saturday.

The last week will see it opening till 1 am throughout the week, according to the latest announcement.

As reported by Gulf News, on Sunday, May 11, the day the current season was supposed to end, thousands of visitors flocked to Global Village which had offered a range of special promotions to celebrate the end of Season 29.

The final week’s offers included free entry for children under 12, unlimited Carnaval rides for Dh50, and new experiences for food and culture lovers.

Both UAE residents and tourists thronged the venue to grab last-minute bargains at country pavilions, enjoy dishes from around the world, and watch live shows and performances.

The current season began on October 16, 2024, welcoming millions of visitors from across the UAE and beyond.

Since its debut in 1997 with just a few retail kiosks, Global Village has grown into one of Dubai’s leading seasonal outdoor attractions. This year’s edition brings together over 90 cultures across 30 pavilions, along with more than 175 rides, games, and attractions, offering a celebration of diversity, entertainment, and global culture for all ages.
