Al Habtoor Motors has transferred the rights of Rolls-Royce brand in the Capital to Abu Dhabi Motors under an agreement signed yesterday.

This follows the separation of Rolls-Royce and Bentley brands worldwide after Rolls-Royce bec-ame part of the BMW Group.

The agreement, which will come into effect on January 1, enables Abu Dhabi Motors, the importer of all BMW Group vehicles in the emirate, to distribute Rolls-Royce, one of the most luxurious and prestigious cars in the world.

Some 250 Rolls-Royces are sold in the Middle East every year.

"We are extremely enthusiastic about adding this marque to our luxury BMW Group portfolio, which complements our BMW, Mini and Alpina brands," said Arno Husselman, general manager of Abu Dhabi Motors.

"We are investing a substantial amount in facilities to accommodate the Rolls-Royce brand and ensure our customers that they will experience unrivalled standards of quality, service and exclusivity of a new showroom from which Rolls-Royce will be offered," he said.

Husselman added that the company was finalising plans for a facility in Al Ain offering sales, service and parts as well as a comprehensive expansion of the Umm Al Nar facility.

Abu Dhabi Motors is the motoring division of Al Hamid Group which owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamid. Its chief executive officer is Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamid.
