This summer, there's a festival for everyone, whether you're a fan of Florence + The Machine, Bruce Springsteen or The Stone Roses, even if the biggest of them all, Glastonbury, isn't happening. Take a look at the line-ups and how to get there; then it's time to pack your wellies and go festival-hopping

Coachella, USA

Line-up includes: The Black Keys, Radiohead, Dr Dre & Snoop Dog, Afrojack, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Florence + The Machine, Avicii.

Ticket price: $285 (Dh1,046)

Location: Empire Polo Club, 81-800 Avenue 51, Indio

How to get there: Nearest airport is Palm Springs International Airport. Drive down from Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas and Arizona; there are daily bus schedules from Los Angeles and Phoenix to Indio.

Staying: Coachella offers four on-site camping options — car camping, tent camping, Lake Eldorado, safari tents. You may also choose to stay at a number of hotels, vacation rentals or off-site camping locations.

Nocturnal Wonderland, USA

Line-up includes: Tiesto, Royksopp, ST69, Chromeo, Sebastian Ingrosso, 12th Planet, Adventure Club, Araabmuzik, Awolnation, Bingo Players, Borgore, Calvin Harris, Chase & Status.

Ticket price: $152

Dates: April 28-29

Location: Apache Pass, Downtown, Texas

How to get there: Nocturnal Wonderland has arranged for a variety of pick-up and drop-off points that provide safe and roundtrip transportation between your chosen shuttle stop and the venue. The closest airport is Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Staying: The Holiday Inn Austin North - Round Rock in association with Nocturnal Wonderland is offering a combo travel package starting at $759. Alternatively you may book hotels in and around Rockdale or camp on site.

New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival

Line-up includes: Bruce Springsteen And The E-Street Band, The Eagles, Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers, The Foo Fighters, The Beach Boys, Cee Lo Green, Florence + The Machine, The Neville Brothers.

Dates: April 27-May 6

Location: Fair Grounds Race Course, 1751 Gentilly Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana

How to get there: Gray Line Tours will operate daily from 10.30am-7.30pm, pick-up points will be the Sheraton Hotel, the Gray Line Lighthouse at the Steamboat Natchez Dock and City Park.

All Tomorrow's Parties, the UK

Line-up includes: Slayer, The Afghan Whigs, Death Grips, Sleep, Wolves In The Throne Room.

Dates: May 25-27

Ticket price: Friday day tickets £39 (Dh228). Saturday and Sunday day tickets £59. Weekend tickets £130. A booking fee of 5 per cent applicable on each ticket for using Paypal.

Location: Alexandra Palace, London

How to get there: Free shuttle buses from the venue to Wood Green, the nearest tube station. Over ground trains runs from Kings Cross and Finsbury park to Alexandra Palace station.

Staying: Some of the closest hotels are Hotel 41, The Milestone Hotel, Edgerton House Hotel, The Levin, Plaza on the River, Sofitel London, The Soho Hotel.

Roskilde, Denmark

Location: Roskilde Festival Ground, Denmark

How to get there: You can take the train from either Copenhagen Central Station or Copenhagen Airport to Roskilde. Parking is free but if you wish to park close to the entrance then you would have to buy a parking ticket

Staying: The camp site will be open from 6pm on June 30 till 2pm on July 9 and has all the basic amenities.

Leeds Festival, England

Line-up includes: The Foo Fighters, The Cure, Kasabian, The Black Keys, Bombay Bicycle Club, Bullet For My Valentine, Paramore, Florence + The Machine, Maccabees, Justice.

Ticket price: £197.50

Dates: August 24-26

Location: Bramham Park, Wetherby, West Yorkshire

How to get there: Take the A1 or M1 whether from the north, south, east or west and follow the festival signs. There are shuttle buses to and from Leeds City Railway Station and Leeds Coach Station to Bramham Park.

Staying: The huge camping grounds near Bramham Park are fully equipped with toilets and showers, ATMs, pharmacy, lockers, information point, food stalls, etc. The campsite will be open from 2pm on August 22 and will close midday on August 27. There are special areas for campervans and caravans. Car parking facility also available.

Benicassim Festival, Spain

Line-up includes: Stone Roses, Florence + The Machine, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, The Vaccines, Miles Kane, Bombay Bicycle Club, Cooper, Department S, New Order, The Horrors, Crystal Castle, Katy B, Example, Spector, Thee Brandy Hips.

Ticket price: €170 (4-day pass), €155 (3-day pass) and €50-€70 (day tickets)

Dates: July 12-15

Location: Benicassim on the east coast of Spain between Valencia and Barcelona

How to get there: Fly to Valencia or Barcelona; there are direct trains from Barcelona to Benicassim.

Staying: There are hotels less than 15 minutes' drive from the festival site, so either hire a car from Alpharooms or grab a taxi or shuttle bus to the festival. Resorts near Benicassim include Oropesa Del Mar - 8 kilometres away, Castellon — 10 kilometres away, Alocober — 32km away, Peniscola — 58km away.

Fuji Rock Festival, Japan

Line-up includes: Owl City, The Stone Roses, Radiohead, Jack White, The Trojans, Justice, The Heartbreaks.

Ticket prices: Three-day ticket 42,800 yen (Dh1,942), one-day ticket 16,800 yen.

Dates: July 27-29

Location: Naeba Ski Resort, 202 Mikuni, Yuzawa-machi, Niigata, Japan

How to get there: The station is JR Echigo Yuzawa. The Joetsu Shinkansen/Joetsu Line/Hokuritsu Express HokuHoku Line go there from Tokyo. Use the Kanetsu Expressway Tsukiyono IC to drive down to the festival site which would take you half an hour. Free shuttle bus from Kandatsu, Mitsumata and Tashiro car parks.

Staying: There are places on site for camping. Please make sure to purchase a campsite ticket in advance along with your entrance tickets. They won't be sold separately later. Rock Werchter, Werchter, Belgium

Location: The festival park is located alongside the Haachtsesteenweg in Werchter (Belgium)

How to get there: Public transport is the most practical — and most convenient — way to get to Rock Werchter. Leuven railway station is the centre point of the festival weekend. It's easily accessible, wherever you come from. Each classic admission ticket is valid for one return trip to and from each Belgian railway station, from and to Leuven and for the final trajectory by bus, operated by De Lijn, between Leuven station and the Festival Park. The De Lijn bus company is running a continuous shuttle service between Leuven railway station and the festival site. This takes about 15 minutes. Buses make a "loop" between Leuven and Werchter and follow a special route, which is used only by security services and De Lijn. The nearest airport is Brussels Airport (Zaventem)

Staying: Campsites and car parks are located around the edges of the festival site, alongside the three main access roads into Werchter. There are about 20 of them, divided into three zones:

- Zone A alongside the access road from Haacht (only accessible via Haacht)

- Zone B alongside the access road from Rotselaar (only accessible via E313 and via Rotselaar)

- Zone C alongside the Betekom-Werchter road, and alongside the Werchter ring (only accessible via Tremelo and Aarschot)

Positivius Festival, Salacgriva, Latvia,

INmusic Festival, Zagreb, Croatia

Ticket price: 290 Croatian kuna (Dh187.50) for the festival and 440 kuna with camping.

Location: Zagreb, Croatia

How to get there: Tram service from Zagreb railway station or Zagreb airport.

Staying: The camp, which will be located on the Island of Youth, will feature a number of facilities such as hot water, charging stations, wireless internet, pharmacy and storage facility. Recreational facilities include swimming, roller skating, skate park, windsurfing, rowing.

Jisan Valley Rock festival, Seoul, South Korea

Line-up includes: Beady Eye, Elvis Costello And The Impostors, Owl City, The Stone Roses, Radiohead and local singers.

Location: Jisan Forest Resort, Haewol-ri, Majang-myeon, Icheon

How to get there: You can get there by taking local bus #12 from Icheon Bus Terminal. If you take the Kyungbu Expressway it will take you 50 minutes to drive down to the venue.

Staying: Jisan Forest Resort has a number of rooms and villas for you to stay in. You may also camp near the venue.

Lollapalooza, Chicago, the US

Location: Grant Park, Chicago

How to get there: Chicago Transit Authority has train and bus routes to Grant Park, throughout the city and to both major airports.

Staying: There is no camping onsite. However, there are a variety of options in hotels and hostels.

Sasquatch!

Line-up includes: Jack White, Beck, Bon Iver, The Shins, Girl Talk, Portlandia, Feist, St. Vincent, The Walkmen, Spiritualized, Shabazz Palaces.

Ticket price: $315 for a four-day pass

Dates: May 25-28

Location: George, Washington State, US

How to get there: You can shuttle a ride from Seattle, Vancouver, Quincy and Ellensburg. The parking lot gates open at 9am starting May 25. The Gorge Amphitheatre has onsite parking which is well-marked, illuminated and secure.

Staying: You can camp onsite. The nearest hotel would be in Quincy, which is 25 minutes away.

V festival, the UK

Line-up includes: The Stone Roses, Killers, Snow Patrol, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, Keane, James Morrison, LMFAO.

Ticket prices: £99-£180

Dates: August 18 and 19

Location: Hylands park in Chelmsford, Essex and Weston park in Staffordshire, England.

How to get there: Coach, train or shuttle buses. The nearest stations to Hylands park is Chelmsford and to Weston park are Wolverhampton and Stafford. Shuttle bus services to Hylands park will be announced soon.

Weston Park bus service: National Express West Midlands will be operating a £8 return shuttle bus service every 15 minutes from Wolverhampton bus station and Stafford rail station to Weston park.

Staying: Hylands Park will open August 17 and close on August 20, noon to noon. Weston Park campsites open at 9am on Friday August 17 and close on Monday August 20 at noon. Campsites have ample parking space.
