Dubai: Pinoy pop and R&B fans were hit with disappointing news this week as the much-anticipated South Border featuring Kris Lawrence Live in Dubai concert has been officially postponed, just weeks ahead of its original August 16, 2025 date.

The announcement was made by Maybush Productions via their official Instagram account (@maybush_productions) on July 31, citing "unforeseen circumstances" as the reason behind the delay. The event was scheduled to take place at the iconic Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, a venue that has hosted many top-tier Filipino acts in the past.

"We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are currently working to secure a new date and look forward to welcoming you then," Maybush Productions said in their statement.

Fans who have already secured their tickets won’t be left hanging—organizers have provided a clear refund process:

Ticket refund guide:

  • Platinumlist purchases: Contact them directly; refunds will follow their internal processing timelines.

  • Maybush Productions direct purchases: Simply reply to the email where your ticket receipt was sent to request a refund.

Refund turnaround time:

  • One-time payments: 24–48 hours from receipt of request

  • Tabby (Installment) payments: 3–5 business days

While this delay may feel like a letdown, there’s still hope for a new concert date. Maybush Productions has confirmed they are working on rescheduling the event and will provide updates via Gulf News, so fans are encouraged to stay tuned.

Until then, keep the playlists going and show your support for OPM legends South Border and R&B crooner Kris Lawrence. Dubai will just have to wait a little longer to experience their magic live on stage.
