Italian fashion house Prada teams up with video-game developer Ubisoft

In what’s another remarkable partnership between the real and virtual world, legendary Italian fashion house Prada has teamed up with video-game developer Ubisoft to provide exclusive in-game Prada costumes, as well as gear and accessories, for players of Rider Republic to get their swag on.

The collaboration will run online from February 10 to 14 and will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. Whoever plays Rider Republic online during the weekend will get to keep their Prada goodies, should they choose to buy the full game.

According to Ubisoft, “Players will discover sections of the Riders Ridge social hub decorated with the coloürs of Prada Linea Rossa as they are immersed in a thematic experience.”

Prada announced in an Instagram post: “As a result of the pioneering partnership between Prada and Ubisoft, in Riders Republic X Prada each player will be able to customise its character by choosing Prada Linea Rossa outfits – The Flame, Wild Stripes and Camouflage Rock – and sports gear – skis, a snowboards and bikes – created especially for the game by Prada and immerse themselves in a new themed experience.”

Prada Linea Rosso draws inspiration from the world of technical sportswear and focuses on streamlined silhouettes. In essence, the range seeks to redefine modern luxury, “with a focus on technical detailing and new manufacturing possibilities.”

Prada employs versatile and high-performance designs to create sustainable textile technologies, which define “a new urban uniform geared towards movement.”

Rider Republic is described as “massively multiplayer sports game", by its developer Ubisoft and can host up to 64 players competing online in mass race competitions. There are four main activities in the game, which include mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, and wingsuit flying.
