Dubai: Kodak has come out with a new strategy of "sharing" your moments with a focus on making life easier for users to click photos and videos.

"We truly believe that the real Kodak Moment happens when you share, and our products back that up. The simple act of sharing a picture can spark an emotion, encourage a smile, ignite a laugh or even draw a tear. We put this important element at the forefront of our product designs to help people connect with one another, relive special memories and share their experiences," Arif Khan, Area Manager for Kodak (Near East) said.

Kodak, which has a market share of 12 to 32 per cent in Mena countries, has unveiled new consumer digital photography products to the Middle East markets.

The new products are designed with the needs of today's modern users in mind, focusing on the sharing and networking applications of images and videos on web networks through Kodak's innovative "Share button" as well as robust sorting and tagging features.

The Kodak Easyshare M-series digital cameras let users share moments with popular sharing sites like Kodak Gallery, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube and e-mails.

Khan said that with the 14MP Slice touch-screen camera you can click pictures and send them to friends and families from the camera itself using in-built e-mail options. The camera can store 26 e-mail addresses and store 5,000 pictures in high-density resolution.

The photos taken, for instance, from Dubai can be seen by one's family in India with the new Kodak Pulse digital frame. This touch-screen-enabled frame is equipped with WiFi connectivity and a personal e-mail address so consumers can easily send pictures wirelessly to the frame from a computer, Facebook and Kodak Gallery sites, or from any device that has e-mail capability. The frame automatically refreshes when the user, or his family and friends, add new pictures to their albums.

"The Kodak brand has always been about human connections and capturing and sharing important moments. This year, Kodak is augmenting its promise to help our users share moments and memories with family and friends easily. No matter where you are, Kodak has a sharing solution for you — at home, online or on the go," said Khan.

The seven-inch photo frame is priced at Dh699 and can store 4,000 images while the digital cameras are priced between Dh300 and Dh1,800.
