From the snowy slopes of Ski Dubai to the 25,000 square metres of action at Dubai World Trade Centre, summer sports lovers are spoilt for choice.

Dubai Sports World, the region’s largest indoor sports and fitness destination, is set to launch a special August edition packed with the city’s most popular sports, new experiences, and exciting competitions. Organised by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council (DSC), the 2025 edition runs daily from 8am to midnight, between August 3 and September 2.

Featuring over 40 courts and pitches, the event caters to all ages and abilities, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a year-round sporting hub.

Sports and fun for the whole family

This year’s edition offers nine core sports: badminton, basketball, cricket, football, padel, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, and pickleball — all supported by world-class facilities. DSW also brings back its free, open-access community gym, equipped with advanced cardio, functional training rigs, and strength zones.

This edition of Dubai Sports World offers facilities in nine core sports from August 3 to September 2..

The expanded Dubai Kids World includes multistorey inflatable slides, soft play obstacle courses, and retro arcade games. While kids stay active in supervised play zones, parents can participate in their favourite sports or fitness sessions.

New for 2025: Dubai’s first indoor half marathon

DSW kicks off on August 3 with DSW Run IN — Dubai’s first-ever indoor half marathon. Set in a fully air-conditioned environment, the race offers runners a unique experience with professional timing and cheering zones.

Later in the month, the DSW Summer League (August 23) returns as Dubai’s top intercompany tournament, uniting corporate teams for a day of high-energy competition and team building.

Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, said: “Dubai Sports World has become one of the most important community fitness events on the city’s calendar. It promotes active lifestyles and meaningful social engagement during the summer, enhancing residents’ quality of life.”

Mahir Abdulkarim Julfar, Executive Vice-President of DWTC, added: “We’re thrilled to launch this special August Edition of Dubai Sports World. With new experiences like the Indoor Half Marathon, an expanded gym, and inclusive kids’ areas, this is our most exciting programme yet.”
