Dubai: Al Nassr are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Chelsea forward Joao Felix for £44 million, with the Portuguese star set to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.

According to recent reports, the Saudi Pro League club is in active talks with Felix’s representatives, and a full agreement could be reached imminently.

Benfica had been in pole position to bring the 25-year-old back to Lisbon, but Al Nassr have now emerged as frontrunners after making a formal move.

Should the transfer be completed in time, Felix could make his debut in a friendly against Toulouse on Wednesday at the Untersberg-Arena in Grodig.

Felix first joined Chelsea on loan from Atletico Madrid during the 2022/23 winter window, scoring four goals in 20 appearances. That loan spell was followed by a permanent move to Chelsea for £46.3 million.

The Portuguese international began his professional career at Benfica, where his breakout performances earned him a record-breaking move to Atlético Madrid in 2019. While in Spain, he won the La Liga title and has since accumulated 45 caps for Portugal since making his international debut in 2019.
