Benyettou joins Fujairah

Fujairah: Fujairah confirmed the signing of Algerian forward Mohammad Benyettou after sealing promotion back to the Arabian Gulf League via the play-offs this week. The 28-year-old former Mohammadia, El Harrach, Oran and Setif striker joins from Saudi Arabia’s Al Shabab, where he scored 22 goals in 57 league appearances over the past three seasons (just six in 22 games last season).

Al Shabab finished 10th in the Saudi league last season. Fujairah finished third in the UAE’s second tier but went up via a 3-1 aggregate play-off win over Hatta on Sunday.
