More than 1,000 students from 12 countries set for ISC competition
Dubai: More than 1,000 student athletes from 12 countries are expected to compete in the International School of Choueifat’s (ISC) ninth regional sports tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
Youngsters from schools in the Sabis network from Germany, Romania, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, Egypt, Bahrain, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Jordan will take part in the event, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mansour Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The two-day competition, being held at the ISC campuses in Dubai and Sharjah for the first time in seven years, coincides with the 127th anniversary of the establishment of the first Choueifat Sabis School and the 37th anniversary of the opening of the first ICS school in the UAE.
The students, many of whom will take part in Saturday’s opening ceremony, will compete in swimming, basketball, football and athletics.
