Dubai: Top seed Elina Svitolina of Ukraine thrashed Daria Kasatkina of Russia 6-4, 6-0 in a one-sided final to win back-to-back Dubai Open women’s tennis crown at the Dubai Tennis Stadium on Saturday night.

The Ukrainian thus became only the third women’s player in history to successfully defend her title here after Justin Henin and Venus Williams since the event was launched in 2001. Read more
