Dubai: The Dubai Equestrian Club is organising and hosting a new CEI two-star 120km endurance ride titled the Gamilati Endurance Cup for Mares sponsored by Al Tayer Motors.

The race will be held for only qualified mares today at the Dubai International Endurance City.

The name Gamilati was selected by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and serves as a tribute to the outstanding racehorse Gamilati, an impressive winner of the recent UAE 1,000 Guineas and last month's UAE 1,000 Guineas Trial. The three-year-old filly is proving to be a leading star of the Godolphin Racing Stable.

As part of the Meydan Group, the Dubai Equestrian Club (DEC) serves to organise and host quality equestrian sports in the disciplines of Endurance, Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing.

The event will be held at DIEC in the Seih Assalam area of Dubai, adjacent to Bab Al Shams Desert Resort and Spa.
