Abu Dhabi: Organisers believe the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, the 25th edition of which will take place from March 27 to April 2, has become the best of its kind. The event, held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, will see the UAE’s top drivers and riders share the stage with the world’s best cross-country rally competitors. Organised by the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE, the national motorsport authority, it is the second of eight rounds in the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies for cars and trucks, and the first of six rounds in the FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship for bikes.
