Dubai: Judith Meulendijks and Johanna Golizewski thrashed their opponents Vidya Manghnani and Ahillya Harjani in two straight sets 21-11, 21-9 to win the India Club — Western Union UAE Open badminton tournament in the ladies doubles finals played at India Club,

In another final match in the boys under-16 years doubles, Suraj Thomas and Amrith P. Jenny fought hard to beat Akhil Pradeep/Roshan Joseph 21-19, 12-21, 21-17 to win the title. The match went into three games, the first and third game going in favour of the winners.
