Shea will ride hot favourite Lizard';s Desire, while Moore will pilot Mr Brock
Dubai: South African trainer Mike de Kock will be looking to get back to winning ways on Dubai World Cup night after having drawn a blank last year.
De Kock, who has had a fair share of success in previous years, including a double in 2008 with Honour Devil and Sun Classique, announced the list of jockeys for his nine runners on the big night. In the $10 million Dubai World Cup the South African has named Kevin Shea to jockey Lizard's Desire and Ryan Moore to ride Mr Brock.
Christophe Soumillon rode Lizard's Desire three times in the Dubai International Racing Carnival, winning the first two before finishing fifth to Red Desire, in the Round Three of the Al Maktoum Challenge on Super Thursday.
"Initially Lizard's Desire was a reserve runner so Christophe (Soumillon) took another ride in the World Cup, but then Lizard's Desire got in due to a defection by one of the other runners to the Dubai Duty Free," De Kock said on his website.
De Kock's Asiatic Boy finished second to Curlin in 2008 at the Dubai World Cup, but failed to impress last year finishing way down,
