Australian Lee, set a new tournament winning total of 30 under par in the SJM Macao Open

Macau: Australia’s Min Woo Lee claimed his maiden Asian Tour title with a two-shot wire-to-wire victory in the US$1 million SJM Macao Open.
The world number 46 carded a final round of eight under 63 for a stunning tournament total of 30 under. Two clear from Thailand’s Poom Saksansin.
Min Woo has had a rapid worldwide rise in the game of golf. Having only turning professional at the start of 2019, in February 2020 he won the ISPS Handa Vic Open, an event co-sanctioned with by the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia. In July 2021, Lee defeated Thomas Detry and Matt Fitzpatrick in a playoff at the Abrdn Scottish Open.
“I love it,” said 25-year-old Lee, who opened with rounds of 62, 64 and 65.
“And yeah, I played wonderful, really flawless golf for a lot of the holes, there was only a few holes that I could really look back on. But yeah, I'm really proud of the way I handled myself.”
Thailand’s Phachara Khongwatmai was solo third a staggering eight shots back from his countryman, while in a tie for fourth was Taiwan’s Lee Chieh-po and Miguel Tabuena from the Philippines.
Defending champion Gaganjeet Bhullar from India signed for a 68 to end equal 17th.
The Asian Tour now has a two-week break now before three successive weeks of high-profile events: the Volvo China Open, the Hong Kong Open, and the BNI Indonesian Masters.
