UGA Order Of Merit: Turner In Front

UGA Order of Merit Champion Matthew Turner (Emirates Golf Club) is on course to retain his crown after an assured performance at the Sharjah Men's Open.

Turner, who plays off a plus one handicap, was runner–up to professional Simon Dunn at the first Order of Merit tournament after shooting a gross 145 (70, 75) over two rounds. Dunn took the title with fantastic rounds of 66 and 68 for a 134 total.

The 36-hole tournament attracted some of the best amateurs and pros in the region in the 54-man field.

Vikram Judge of Dubai Creek finished third on 148 (77, 71) while Malcolm Tennant of Sharjah Wanderers Golf Club posted a gross score of 149 (76, 73) for fifth place and third in the Order of Merit table.
