Dubai: Three of Dubai's top golf clubs will host the inaugural Charity Amateur Golf Tournament to raise funds for the Dubai Autism Centre.

The Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa, the Els Golf Club and the Montgomerie Golf Club have already begun hosting qualifiers with the three top teams from each club going into the final at the Els on April 21.

All amateur golfers can register and participate in this tournament. Organisers are encouraging teams of four or individuals to sign up at The Montgomerie for the qualifier on April 14.

The other two have completed their qualifying rounds. The fee is Dh550 per player, with part of the proceeds going to the Dubai Autism Centre.

"April is Autism Awareness Month so what better way to raise awareness about this disorder than through one of the city's favourite sports," said event organiser Anna Gorski.
