Look: Making the cut - Fashionistas on the golf course, from Morikawa to Korda

Erik van Rooyen: The 31-year-old turned a few heads at the Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic in January as he sported a moustache more suited on a hipster barista than a pro golfer, but he carried it off with aplomb, and did pretty well on the Emirates Golf Course, too, finishing joint fourth.

Henrik Stenson: One of the elder statesmen now, but former Dubai resident Stenson still makes the cut in his Hugo Boss polo shirts.

Michelle Wie West: The American pretty much single-handedly took the catwalk to the first tee when she burst on to the scene as a 15-year-old in 2005, altering the female golfing apparel for good along the way.

Rickie Fowler: The Leonardo Dicaprio of golf (well, he looks the spit of him to me) hasn’t won in a while, but his distinctive look still keeps him popular and always has a big following on the course.

Bryson DeChambeau: That flat cap. Enough said.

Lexi Thompson: The skip-capped Major winner always has a smile to match her style of play and style of clothes.

Collin Morikawa: The world No. 2 is always lighting up the course with his play and stylish Adidas apparel. The DP World Tour Championship winner in November knows how to set trends.

Tapio Pulkkanen: The flying Finn is 31 years old now and has yet to win a title on the DP World Tour. However, he is a popular character on the course, thanks to his signature trilby — he even goes by the nickname ‘The Hat’.

Ian Poulter: No list of golf fashionistas would be complete without Ryder Cup legend Poulter. The 46-year-old is always easy to spot on the course thanks to his distinctive, one-off outfits.

Billy Horschel: The American 34-year-old has proven that leading fashion house Ralph Lauren can hold its own among the more traditional sports brands on the fairways.

Danielle Kang: The 29-year-old has found the winning touch to go with her outfits, claiming the Tournament of Champions in Florida in January after a winless 2021.

Nelly Korda: The world No. 1 shone in 2021, claiming the PGA Championship as well as Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020 Games, all the while wearing some glittering outfits.

The Hojgaard brothers: Two for the price of one this time as Nicolai and Rasmus Hojgaard — identical twins from Denmark — often cause a little bit of trouble for commentators and fans by wearing similar outfits on the course. Ras Al Khaimah Championship winner Nicolai and his brother can be seen sniggering away through all the confusion.

Celine Boutier: The French 28-year-old has become the go-to to see LaCoste’s latest in ladies golf outfits.
