Tahlak clarifies on beach soccer competitions

Dubai; A top official from the 2009 Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup has expressed apprehension that fans may be confused the event with other high-profile competitions to be held in the country in the near future.

"For some reason I find that people may be confusing the Beach Soccer World Cup in Dubai with the 2009 Fifa World Clubs Championships to be held in Abu Dhabi," Tournament Director Salah Tahlak told Gulf News.

"These are two different competitions and except for the fact that they are both organised by Fifa in the UAE, there is nothing else common between them," Tahlak stated.
