Dubai: Sweden would storm to Euro 2008 glory if the most emotional fans were the deciding factor in who wins, the results of new independent research commissioned by Canon Europe, has reveal.

According to Canon's European league table of football fans' emotions, the nation that produced ice-cool manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has the most passionate fans.

At second place in the league table is Norway, followed by Belgium and Britain.

88% of Swedish fans have hugged and kissed a stranger at a football match.

French supporters, are amongst the most reserved in Europe. Merely 60% of their fans admitted to grabbing and kissing a stranger when emotions were high - compared to the European average of 77%.

However, it is Portugal's fans, at 43%, who are least likely to kiss someone.

They, along with Belgian, German and English fans, are also among Europe's most tearful supporters.
