Selley named soccer schools’ coach

Dubai: Former Arsenal midfielder Ian Selley has been appointed head coach of Arsenal Soccer Schools in Dubai and will start work from September 24.

Having won the FA Cup, League Cup and European Cup Winner’s Cup in 60 appearances for Arsenal between 1992 and 1997, Selley went on to play for Fulham and Wimbledon before an extensive non-league career. He also represented England at the Youth World Cup in 1993.

Selley will oversee coaching at The Sevens Stadium, where there are three ten-week terms at Dh1,750 per child, annually, teaching football the Arsenal way.
