Maradona in hospital with kidney stones

Dubai: Diego Maradona went for a check-up this morning after kidney stones were discovered by the doctor. He was kept in for observation where they decided to operate later on Sunday to clear the stones. Hopefully if all goes well, he'll be out tomorrow and further updates will be sent from the club.

The news was first broken by a twitter feed from the club and later confirmed by a club spokesperson. He's in an unnamed private hospital in Dubai.

Reporters noticed at the post-match conference after the Al Ahli game on Saturday night that he kept asking for water and appeared tired.
