Abu Dhabi: The Brazilian flair we expected of Internacional at the Fifa Club World Cup returned a game too late, with 4-2 victory over Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in the third-place playoff at Zayed Sports City yesterday.

Internacional went ahead after 15 minutes when a long throw to Alecsandro on the right-wing was crossed into Tinga who scooped down low for a header to nutmeg Sung Ryong-jung.

Alecsandro then netted the second just shy of the left post on 27 minutes after he toe-poked a free jab supplied by neat build-up between Nei, Sobis and Andre Alessandro on the right.

Early bath

A second bookable offence for Suk Won-jung, who first sliced Tinga on 23 minutes and then obstructed him on the 34th minute helped further mute Seongnam's potency as the youngster walked for an early bath, leaving the Koreans with ten men.

Tinga was influential in the third on the 52nd minute by putting Sobis free onside down the right, who instead of crossing to the advancing Alecsandro laid it back to Andre Alessandro who had time to blaze his effort off the right post past Sung Ryong-jung.
