Abu Dhabi: Estudiantes de La Plata coach Alejandro Sabella said his team is ready for Barcelona and was hoping the passionate support of the travelling fans from Argentina will boost his team.

"We are happy to have made it to the final. But it (semifinal win over Pohang Steelers) was not our best performance. We'll be better in the final," he said, adding that both teams in the final play a similar game.

"Both have a similar style though they are a team of super stars. Every body knows how they play and so do we. We will retain our style and take the game to them," he said.

Brazilian monopoly

Three Brazilian clubs have won this event but AC Milan and Manchester United broke that monopoly to put Europe on top winning in 2007 and 2008 respectively.

Sabella will be hoping Estudiantes win today and re-establish South American supremacy at the world club level.

"We been playing with a lot of authority and character and they have a definite style. We haven't been behind in many games and even when we have, we've turned things around, just like we did in the Libertadores final against Cruzeiro. We've found things a bit tougher in recent games but I'm still happy," he said.

Sabella felt his team's style of play had provoked the Koreans into committing numerous fouls and subsequently had three of their players sent off.

"We are looking to take the chances that come our way. We did it against the fast Koreans though Barcelona are a totally different opposition, a classy outfit who are playing at their best," he said.
