Prolific Brewster fires in three goals against the US

Margao: A slow start by the United States let England take a quick two-goal lead and cruise into the Under-17 World Cup semi-finals.

Rhian Brewster scored three goals and set up Morgan Gibbs-White for another, leading England to a 4-1 win on Saturday at Goa. Brewster scored in the 11th and 14th minutes, fed Gibbs-White for a 3-0 lead in the 64th and converted a penalty kick in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time.

Brewster also scored in the group stage against Mexico.

Spain produced a sublime performance to defeat Iran 3-1 and enter the semi-finals of the event. Abel Ruiz (13th minute) and Sergio Gomez (60th) gave Spain a decisive advantage before Ferran Torres (67th), who had a hand in both goals, found the target himself.
