London: Carlo Ancelotti has been told his job is not under immediate threat despite Chelsea's alarming slump, and dressing room claims that the team are in a downward spiral.

The Barclays Premier League champions were well beaten by title rivals Arsenal on Monday and goalkeeper Petr Cech admitted that everything seemed to be going wrong following the club's 3-1 defeat at the Emirates.

"We are not used to seeing Chelsea play the way we are," said Cech. "We're not doing the right things on the pitch. We're making mistakes and getting punished for them. The second and third goals were really unlike Chelsea.

"I don't remember us ever conceding two goals in one minute like that.

"We've stopped doing the things we were doing at the start of the season when we didn't concede goals and we were scoring a lot.

"We can't find the same rhythm and we are making wrong choices and making lots of wrong passes.

"Every time we attack we are offside and we are making mistakes in the defensive third. This is exactly the reason we are not winning games.

"We find ourselves in a circle. We make a mistake, we get punished and we don't score goals.

"If we keep going like this, we will have a big disappointment in terms of chasing the title."

Sources at the club claim there is concern but no panic in the boardroom.
