Al Shaab club have sent a letter to the UAE Football Association refusing to accept the signing of their player Rashid Abdul Rahman for Swiss club FC Yverdon-Sports.

Rashid left two weeks ago for Switzerland to sign for the Swiss club without any agreement with his club, Al Shaab.

The Swiss Football Association wrote to the UAE FA, requesting them to send his player's card.

Al Shaab claim that they had already suspended the player for one year because he did not join the training sessions and the external training camp in Germany.

They claimed that Rahman will not be able to sign anywhere as long as he is suspended by his club.

The UAE FA will soon inform the Swiss FA that Al Shaab have refused to release the player.

The Swiss club is likely to lodge a complaint with Fifa, stating that the UAE FA has refused to send the papers for an amateur player to Switzerland who has signed with them.

According to the new Fifa regulations, amateur players who are over 23 years of age are eligible to sign for any club outside their country of origin without the permission of their club.
