Shoaib Malek divorces first wife Seddiqi, after acknowledging marriage

Hyderabad: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malek has divorced his first wife Aisha Seddiqi, ahead of his planned marriage to Indian tennis player Sania Mirza.

Shams Babar, a friend of the Seddiqi family, said Malek had acknowledged his marriage to Seddiqi despite earlier denials.

"Both Shoaib and Aisha have signed the divorce papers on Wednesday,” says Babar.

The Seddiqi family last week filed a police complaint against Malek over his plans to wed Mirza.
