Sharjah: The play at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium has been suspended for today following the death of Australian batsman Philip Hughes.

"The players are not in the right frame of mind after hearing this sad news. So both teams decided not to play today," remarked Moin Khan to Gulf News.

The second day of the third and final Test match between Pakistan and New Zealand was scheduled to commence at 10am.

The Test match has been extended by a day, and Friday will be day two of the Test match.
