Dubai: Failure in love can be really painful particularly if you are a star and are in the limelight. In the recent past several star cricketers have gone through a bad marriage and ended up being single again. But finding love again adds meaning to life and we list a series of cricketers who have gone through the tough phase of life before finding their new partners.

SHIKHAR DHAWAN

Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan got married in 2012 to Ayesha Mukherjee. The couple had a son Zoravar. However, in 2021 they went for a divorce after which Ayesha and her son moved to Australia. Dhawan spoke quite often of how much he missed his son and also alleged that she was kept away from his son. But in the recent months Dhawan was spotted with a new girl. After lot of speculations he recently made it official that he was dating Sophie Shine, a product consultant in Abu Dhabi.

YUZUVENDRA CHAHAL

Indian cricketer and Punjab Kings spinner Yuzvendra Chahal grabbed the headlines recently for his divorce with choreographer Dhanashree Verma. But during a match the Champions Trophy in Dubai, the 34-year-old was spotted with RJ Mahvash. Though both of them haven’t confirmed the relationship, rumours are rife they are dating.

HARDIK PANDYA

Hardik Pandya dated model-actress Natasa Stankovic before he proposed to her in Dubai on a yacht in 2019 during the Covid-19 days, they got married the following year. Their son Agastya was born later the same year. In 2023, the couple renewed their vows with a lavish ceremony in Udaipur. But things started going wrong and the couple finally announced their divorce in 2024 and stated they will co-parent their child. Since then Pandya has moved on and has been linked to British singer and TV personality Jasmin Walia, although neither have confirmed their relationship. Fans have noticed them posting photos from the same locations at the same time, sparking dating rumors.

SHOAIB MALIK

Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza were married for over a decade. Their wedding attracted huge attention after a woman popped up claiming she was married to Shoaib. After a lot of drama the issue slowly faded away before the much-awaited wedding took place. But, in 2024, rumours of Shoaib and Sania separating gained momentum before the announcement of the former getting married again surfaced. He surprised everyone by marrying Pakistani TV actress Sana Javed. Apparently Shoaib Malik got married to Sana soon after getting a divorce from Sania. Meanwhile, Shoaib and Sania have a son together, named Izhaan Mirza Malik.

Former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik’s first marriage to his childhood friend Nikita Vanjara turned out to be his biggest nightmare when he realised she apparently cheated on him with his teammate Murali Vijay. Karthik was reportedly have moved into depression before he found life again after Indian squash star Dipika Pallikal came into his life. The duo married in 2015 and since then have lived happily being parents to twin sons.
