‘Al Gaffal’ 60ft sailing race scheduled for Saturday has been postponed by a day due to bad weather
Dubai The ‘Al Gaffal’ 60ft sailing race that was scheduled to be held on Saturday has been postponed by a day due to bad weather.
Sid Bensalah, sports director at the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC), the organisers of the annual race, told Gulf News the race will now be held on Sunday instead.
A total of 99 dhows have confirmed their participation in this event, which brings down the curtain on the watersport season in the UAE.
The first of the dhows will sail from the island of Sir Bu Nair towards the finish line off DIMC at Dubai Marina by noon on Sunday, depending on the winds.
