LOOK: Football transfer gossip - Real Madrid swoop for PSG’s Kylian Mbappe

Real Madrid have offered 160-million-euro ($188 million) to Paris Saint-Germain for France World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe, French and Spanish media reported on Wednesday. According to outlets L’Equipe and Le Parisien the Ligue 1 club have rejected the proposal for 22-year-old Mbappe, whose contract at the Parc de Princes expires next June.

PSG paid 180 million euros to Monaco for the forward in 2017 and are keen for him to sign a new deal. After the arrival of Lionel Messi in Paris earlier this month club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said Mbappe “has no reason to do anything else” but stay. Mbappe has scored once and provided two assists in three appearances so far this term with Messi expected to make his PSG debut at Reims on Sunday.

Cristiano Ronaldo is pushing ahead with a switch from Juventus to Premier League champions Manchester City as he is eager to move on from the Serie A club. Ronaldo has reportedly talked to City’s Portuguese players Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias and Joao Cancelo, and is keen to relocate back to Manchester, where he was a hero for rivals United.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are looking good to secure the services of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland next year.

The Old Trafford club are also interested in Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, who is a target for Chelsea.

Atletico are already lining up former Sevilla star Pablo Sarabia from Paris St-Germain as a replacement for Saul.
