Delhi Capitals took on Mumbai Indians knowing they needed to avert a loss of form to secure a place in the Indian Premier League play-offs.

However, their misery continued as Trent Boult led the attack, with Delhi put in to bat. Boult accounted for openers Prithvi Shaw (10) and Shikhar Dhawan (0) with ease as Delhi were reeling.

The wickets continued to tumble and Delhi stuttered to 110-9 in their 20 overs.

Mumbai began their chase in cool-headed fashion with Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan sedately getting the runs on the board.

Ishan Kishan's unbeaten 72 meant the match was never in doubt as Mumbai strolled to a nine-wicket victory with five overs to spare.

While Mumbai look like the team to beat, Delhi are now in danger of missing out of a play-off spot having been almost guaranteed a shoo-in four matches ago.
