Bangkok: Euromonitor’s research covers overseas visitors, who stay longer than 24 hours and less than one year in over 400 cities around the world.Travelers within Asia are responsible for much of the growth, according to the report, as income levels rise and the numbers of Chinese visitors to other countries – as well as millennial travelers from around the region – increase.

5. London: London is predicted to round out the top five, although it’s dropped two places amid an uncertain future as Brexit potentially leads to tighter visa restrictions for EU nationals. Globally, inbound arrivals are expected to rise 4.2% in 2019, to 1.5 billion trips.

6. Paris: In Europe, more traditional travel hotspots like Barcelona, Milan and Vienna have slid down the rankings, while cities in “off the beaten path destinations such as Croatia, Slovenia and Sweden have moved up,” the report said

Dubai: In its latest publication, Euromonitor International unveiled the Top 100 City Destinations Ranking for 2019, and named Dubai as the first Middle East city and the seventh most visited city in the world, beating New York City, Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul and Delhi. Dubai is the only Middle Eastern city in the top ten with more than 16 million visitors projected for 2019, jumping up from 15.9 m in 2018.

Delhi: The national capital of India has been witnessing rapid development in the tourism industry in this year, Delhi, the national capital of India, is all set to enter the list of world's top 10 most popular destinations in the world, according to the recent data published by Euromonitor International. The amalgamation of enriching history and various cultural traditions makes Delhi one of the favourite places among the international tourists. "India has gained noteworthy attention for its yoga retreats and Ayurveda practices," said Euromonitor International.

9. Istanbul: Turkey's largest city will host more than 14.7 million tourists by the end of the year, making it the ninth most popular city destination in the world, according to London-based Euromonitor International. Istanbul ranked 10th in the 2018 edition of the Top 100 City Destinations. In 2019, Istanbul will have had more visitors than New York City's 14 million as the U.S. metropolis dropped out of the top 10.

10. Kuala Lumpur: Estimated international arrivals at 14.1 million in 2019. Euromonitor list shows that Asian tourism is booming. The region accounts for significantly more locations than any other, and the number has risen steadily since the first edition was published in 2013.
