Local train services in Mumbai on Wednesday were affected due to heavy rainfall. Traffic on all lines in Mumbai Suburban section between Churchgate and Dadar was suspended from 8.15 am today, informed Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO) of Western Railway.

Commuters make their way through a flooded road. The weather department said intense to very intense rainfall would continue in the city till around noon.

Several streets and low-lying areas were waterlogged due to overnight rains, and the road traffic was also badly hit, a civic official said.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai is expected to receive moderate rains till September 28.

Heavy rains have paralysed several parts of Mumbai since Tuesday.
